  1. Information We Collect

    When you place a reservation, we may collect:
    - Name
    - Email address
    - Billing information (processed securely by Stripe)
    - Optional information (e.g. ZIP code, water heater type)

  2. How We Use Information

    We use your information to:
    - Process your reservation and refunds
    - Communicate product updates and launch timing
    - Confirm compatibility before shipping
    - Improve ThermoSave LLC’s product and services

  3. Email Communications

    If you opt in during checkout, we may send you product updates and launch emails. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails.

  4. Payment Processing

    Payments are processed securely by Stripe. ThermoSave LLC does not store full credit card details.

  5. Mobile app

    The ThermoSave mobile app is used to set up and manage your ThermoSave controller. The app connects locally to your ThermoSave device during initial setup, and communicates with ThermoSave servers to support account management and device control.

    Account and authentication. To use the app, you create an account using your email address. We use your email address to send a one-time passcode (OTP) for login — we do not store passwords. Your email address is stored on ThermoSave servers and is used solely for authentication and product communications related to your device. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties.

    Device registration. When you claim a ThermoSave device, the device is associated with your account on ThermoSave servers. This allows you to manage your device and enables demand response features. Device identifiers and configuration data are stored server-side. This includes your heating schedule and your device's local timezone (used to apply your schedule at the correct local time). The timezone is set from your phone's timezone at the time of device setup and reflects the location of your ThermoSave device, not your ongoing phone location.

    Wi-Fi setup. During initial setup, the app transmits your home Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password directly to the ThermoSave device over a local connection. Your Wi-Fi network name and password are never stored by the app or sent to ThermoSave servers.

    Location permission (Android only). On Android, the operating system requires location permission to access Wi-Fi functionality. The ThermoSave app does not collect, use, or store your location.

    Platform availability. The ThermoSave app is available on iOS and Android. Both versions handle your data identically; the only platform difference is the Android location permission required for Wi-Fi access.

  6. Data Sharing

    We do not sell or rent your personal data. We only share data with trusted service providers required to operate the service (e.g. payment processors).

  7. Data Security

    We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information.

  8. Your Rights

    You may:
    - Request access to or deletion of your data
    - Request a refund of your reservation
