ThermoSave 2-Year Limited Hardware Warranty

This Limited Warranty is provided by ThermoSave LLC ("ThermoSave," "we," "us"). It covers ThermoSave Smart Water Heater Controllers bought from ThermoSave or an authorized reseller for use in the United States.

What this warranty covers

We warrant that your ThermoSave controller (the "Product") will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for two (2) years from the date it is delivered to the original buyer (the "Warranty Period"). The Product must be installed and used according to the Installation Guide and our instructions.

What we will do

If the Product has a defect covered by this warranty during the Warranty Period, we will replace it with a new or refurbished unit of equal or better functionality. If a replacement is not reasonably available, we will refund the purchase price instead.

For valid warranty claims, we pay shipping both ways. We'll send you a prepaid return label and ship the replacement at no cost to you.

A replacement unit is covered for the rest of the original Warranty Period, or 90 days from when you receive it, whichever is longer.

Who is covered

This warranty covers the original buyer and any later owner of the Product. For example, it covers the new owner if the home is sold with the Product installed. To make a claim, you'll need proof of the original purchase: an order number, a receipt, or the email address used to order.

Installation

You can install the Product yourself or have someone else install it. Coverage does not depend on who does the installation, as long as it follows the Installation Guide. This warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by installation that did not follow the Installation Guide or applicable electrical codes.

What this warranty does not cover

This warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • installation that did not follow the Installation Guide or applicable electrical codes;
  • use with an incompatible water heater (for example, gas or heat pump water heaters) or with a heater rated outside what is stated on the Product label or in the Installation Guide;
  • installation outdoors, or operation outside the environmental conditions (such as temperature range) stated on the Product label and in the Installation Guide;
  • accidents, misuse, abuse, water intrusion, fire, lightning, power surges, or other external causes;
  • repair, modification, or opening of the Product by anyone other than ThermoSave;
  • normal wear, or cosmetic damage such as scratches and dents that does not affect function.

This warranty also does not cover:

  • your water heater, wiring, plumbing, or any other equipment the Product is connected to;
  • the cost of labor to remove or reinstall the Product;
  • the ThermoSave app, cloud service, or software. These are covered by our Terms of Service.

How to make a claim

Email support@thermosave.com before the Warranty Period ends. Include:

  • your order number (or the email used to order);
  • a short description of the problem;
  • photos of the installation, if you have them.

We may ask you to do some basic troubleshooting first. Many issues can be fixed remotely. If we confirm that the Product has a defect covered by this warranty, we'll arrange the replacement and send you a prepaid label for the original unit.

Limits on implied warranties and damages

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD.

REPLACEMENT OR REFUND AS DESCRIBED ABOVE IS YOUR SOLE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THERMOSAVE IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM A BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY.

Some states do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In those states, the above limitations may not apply to you.

Your rights under state law

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Nothing in this warranty limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
